Schutzklassen

Schutzklasse I kennzeichnet Leuchten für den Anschluss an einen Schutzleiter. Im Fehlerfall erfolgt die Netzabschaltung durch Überstrom-/Fehlerstromschutz­organe.

Schutzklasse II kennzeichnet Leuchten, die neben der Betriebs­isolierung eine zusätzliche Schutzisolierung haben. Berührbare Metallteile können im Fehlerfall keine unzulässig hohe Spannung aufnehmen.

Schutzklasse III kennzeichnet Leuchten für Schutzklein­spannung. Anschluss nur an Sicherheits­transfor­matoren nach EN 61558 / VDE 0570, EN 61347 / VDE 712 oder VDE 0100 Teil 410. Der Transformator muss für die Montageart zugelassen sein.
